To each, his or her, own dog. That statement might not make any sense to a person without a dog, but it is nonetheless true that all dog owners believe that their dog is the cutest, most adorable and the friendliest dog, etc. The list is endless but let me cut it short by saying that I have a 10 month old American Eskimo puppy and it is the best, the most adorable, the most intellectually gifted and the most stand-up comedic dog in the world.

I may have coined a new term in the land of dog dome above, however I don't expect that it is going to catch up. From the first time I brought her into my house, it has been a series of comedic adventures one after another. For instance, it may be hard to believe now but on the very first day that I got her into the house she tumbled into her pint-sized tub of milk. Looking at her today you may say that what I am saying is not possible, but I have pictures that say otherwise.

If you're looking to become the proud owner of an American Eskimo puppy, there are a few facts that you might want to look at before proceeding any further. It's always best to find out beforehand whether an American Eskimo puppy is the best breed of dog for you, or whether you might be better off with an Afghan hound or a Boxer.

Owning an American Eskimo puppy is not everybody's cup of tea, and finding out that it is an average shedder, for instance, is very important for people who are allergic to dog hairs. It is also important to note that the coat of your American Eskimo puppy will need to be groomed on an average about twice a week normally, and about once a day when they are shedding.

It is important to realize that in case there is some kind of grooming lapse, then this breed will shed its un-brushed hair without any sort of compunction. So it is necessary to groom them well.

One thing that you will find out while owning an American Eskimo puppy is that these dogs are very intelligent and respond to training in a much better manner than other dogs. Exercise is important for this breed of dogs, and they are generally very playful. You can also keep your Eskimo puppy in an apartment without any kind of hassles as long as you have set exercise regime for your puppy.

An American Eskimo dog is a great asset if it is cared for nicely and people trained at an early age. The best thing about these dogs however, is the thick mane of fur around their neck and the small swagger in their walk that makes them appear as if they are the lions of the dog world!
